Marco Vigo

Born in 1953, he was born in Liguria (Savona), then moved to Tuscany and finally to Sardinia where he currently lives, in Calasetta. He graduated from the art school of Cagliari and for about ten years he taught art education in various institutes on the island; in his professional career there is also a long experience in designing in an engineering studio. Parallel to all this, he dedicates himself to his constant, ardent pictorial activity.

Self-taught, always distant from that world of which he does not like protocols and presence, he does not paint to win the consent of the public or critics; its ideal dimension is the encrypted one, implied in its microcosm capable of opening up to endless pictorial universes; in symbiosis with the island, Nature and animals.
